I made it to Tre’s condo in twenty minutes. After sitting at Lawry’s restaurant for an hour, I knew I had to call him to see what was going on. Tre never stood me up or not called when he knew he would be late, so I was concerned. Hearing Asian took his kids to Texas let me know this was serious. Tre told me numerous times he didn’t want Asian or his kids back in Texas, and Asian had went against his word. I didn’t know what Tre needed help with but I was going to be there for him.

I stepped out my truck and looked around at my surroundings. The way Asian used to talk about her condo, you would have thought she lived in the projects. Tre had her in a suburban neighborhood in Westwood where we all lived, and the outside of the building was luxurious.

I walked up to the glass door and typed in Tre’s apartment number. Within seconds, he buzzed me in. I walked through the exclusive building and found the elevator. I took it to the third floor and found Tre’s condo at the end of the hall. I knocked, and Tre opened the door.

“What’s up, babe. A nigga stressed the fuck out right now,” Tre said as he let me in and closed the door.

“I see... So have you heard anything?” I sat on the couch and started looking around. His condo was decked out and the living room and dining area were huge. Asian had told me their apartment was small, and I didn’t see anything small about it. She made it seem like she was living in a sardine can, and she was living lavish.

“I haven’t heard shit. You want a drink? I got some Goose,” Tre asked as he made his way to the kitchen.

“No, I’m good. That’s crazy how she just left. Which daughter did she leave?” I asked, trying to get more details.

“She left my oldest daughter Ashlyn. Look, I need a favor from you. My daughter just cried in a nigga arms saying she doesn’t want to go back to Texas, and I have to go find this bitch and my kids. I don’t want to leave her with my nanny for a week. I want her to be with someone I can trust.”

“I don’t know, Tre. Your daughter doesn’t know me. How do you know if she wants to be with me?” I asked.

“She doesn’t want to leave Cali, babe. She will do anything to stay here. I trust you that much that I’m asking you to keep my baby girl for a week. I know you use a nanny when you are working at the club. If you want me to pay, I will. You have daughters too. I know they will get along just fine.”

“What about school? What school does she go too?”

“Our Lady of Victory, the private school in the neighborhood.”

“You are lucky; my oldest goes there. I guess I can. I don’t have to be to the club until Saturday night, so I’ll be with the girls all week.
